School Uniform

Uniform at Halfway Nusery Infant School is compulsory for all children from Foundation Stage 2 upwards. Children in nursery are encouraged to wear school uniform, however, it is not compulsory.  

Our uniform comprises:

  • Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan (with or without logo)
  • Royal blue or white polo shirt (with or without logo)
  • Black, navy or grey trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore
  • Blue and white check summer dress
  • Black shoes or trainers (ideally that they can fasten up themselves)

Children in year 1 and year 2 will also be expected to have a PE kit in school and children in Foundation Stage 2 will be expected to come to school in their PE kit on their BIG PE day. Our PE kit comprises:

  • White or blue t shirt (with or without logo) 
  • Black or navy blue shorts or jogging bottoms
  • Black, navy or royal blue jumper (optional for outdoor PE, with or without logo) 
  • Trainers or pumps 

Children in Foundation Stage 2 should also have a pair of wellies that can stay at school. 

All children should bring a suitable coat every day and a sun hat in summer.

Please make sure that all uniform is clearly labelled with your child's name, so that if it gets lost we can return it to you.

Pre-loved school uniform

We keep a stock of pre-loved uniform in school. All items cost £1. Please ask at the School Office if you would like to have a look at what we have in stock.

We always welcome donations of pre-loved uniform that is in good condition. 

(We also welcome donations of appropriately sized socks, tights and pants which we use as spares for when children need to borrow clothes.)
