Celebrating Achievements

We celebrate the achievements of our pupils in a variety of ways:

Regular verbal praise from staff and friends
Positive comments written on work by staff (including observations on Tapestry)
Sticker badges - when a child is spotted doing the right thing, they earn a sticker for their badge. When their badge is full they get to wear it around nursery/school with pride for everyone to see!
Star of the day - each day teachers will chose one person to be 'star of the day'.
Learner of the week - each week teachers will choose two pupils who have really impressed them with their learning, to be their 'learners of the week'. These pupils are awarded a certificate (presented in Celebration assembly for children in year 1 and year 2) and a treat from the class 'Golden Box', which could be anything from being line leader, to sitting on a cushion, to choosing the story at the end of the day. These children also have their names on the newsletter.
