The curriculum forms the basis for our learning and the experiences our children enjoy during their time at Halfway Nursery Infant School.
Our curriculum uses the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum to ensure that every child develops the key learning steps defined within that documentation. We ensure that learning at Halfway Nursery Infant School broadens aspirations, values and opportunities for every child as they grow and develop.
Our curriculum is unique and is broad, balanced and flexible so that it always adapts and develops to fulfil the needs of every child. It has been designed collectively by our staff to reflect our community and pupils and our golden rules and school vision are refelcted within our curriculum design and intent.
We teach our curriculum through a cross-curricular topic approach. Skills and knowledge have been designed to be re-visited and built upon across EYFS and Key Stage 1 and into Key Stage 2 as our pupils transition to year 3 at Halfway Junior School.
